Chicken

Our chickens are raised in floorless “tractors” that are moved daily to fresh pasture. The birds have room to move and scratch. Their diet consists of grass, bugs, and a mineral rich, hormone- and antibiotic-free organic ration. The ration contains organic corn, GMO-free soybeans, alfalfa, oats, calcium, fishmeal, probiotics, and a mineral mix. They always have access to fresh water. We offer whole chickens and a variety of parts including bone-in breast, leg quarters, wings, and packages on necks and backs and feet for stock or pet treats.

Beef

Our beef is 100% grass-fed and finished. We are very proud of our beef and put a lot of effort into ensuring a mouth-watering and nutritious product. We move our cattle twice daily to a fresh "paddock." (We use electric fencing to control where the cattle are on the pasture to ensure a long rest and regrowth time for the grass.) They always have fresh water and mineral available and lots of lush grass! We sell beef by the quarter, half, or whole as well as piece-wise.

Eggs

The laying hens at Falling Sky Farm are currently on vacation from laying! We will announce it in a post and on facebook when they start laying well again. They live the good life. They move around the pasture with their mobile house and electrified netting, following behind the cattle and horses. They enjoy lots of manure to scratch in for bugs and as much grass as they want. They do an excellent job of fertilizing, and they lay delicious eggs with beautiful rich orange yolks and lots of good nutrients. In addition to their diet from the pasture, they enjoy an organic ration similar to that of the broilers with added calcium for strong shells.

Duck

Ducks were added to the operation in the summer of 2009 as an intern’s project. They were so good that we raised some more in 2010 and in the fall/winter of 2011. We have whole ducks, and a limited number of parts (leg quarters, bone-in breast and stock parts) available frozen.

Turkey

The turkeys are raised in tractors like the chickens and are ranged out during the day in electrified netting. They are great foragers and truly seem to enjoy the variety of grass, bugs, and legumes in our pastures. They have a supplement of the organic ratio—as well as what they glean from the pastures—and fresh water available at all times.

Pork

We finally have had pork available! After a year and a 1/2 of being short on pork, we finally have enough to get it to those who want it! The pigs are kept in electric fencing and moved regularly to a fresh paddock of pasture and woodland for their grazing and rooting pleasure. They are supplemented with a GMO-free feed ration. They are available by the quarter, half, and whole and the individual cut. Contact us  and let us know if you are interested.
